Join us for the next Open Book / Open Mind conversation “Cuba, Past and Present” between Mark Kurlansky, author of the much anticipated new book Havana: A Subtropical Delirium and Alexis Romay, Cuban-born author of Emergency Exits and The Cuban Opening. Mark is a James Beard award winner and best-selling author of 30 books like Cod: A Biography of the Fish that Changed the World, Salt and Paper and will discuss his research of the mysterious and rich five-century cultural history of Cuba and his deep fascination with the island since he first visited as a journalist in the 1980s.
After the discussion, the authors will take questions from the audience and sign copies of their books available for sale by Watchung Booksellers.
