Open Book/Open Mind 2015

The Montclair Public Library, in collaboration with Watchung Booksellers, launched its “Open Book/Open Mind” conversations series on Friday evening January 9th at 7pm. The library hosted bestselling novelists Christina Baker Kline, author of “Orphan Train” and Matt Thomas, author of “We are Are Not Ourselves.”

The evening opened with brief readings from their books. The authors then interviewed each other about their books and the craft of writing realistic fiction. The evening closed with a Q & A with the audience. Diana Lunin, MPL Board Trustee, is the sponsor of the series. The event sold-out with over 120 people attending.

The next event is scheduled for Sunday, March 22nd at 4pm with Frank Bruni, author and NY Times columnist discussing the subject of his new book “Where You Go is Not Who You’ll Be: An Antidote to College Admissions Mania.”
