The Underwriters are a small group of benefactors dedicated to ensuring that Open Book / Open Mind continues to provide opportunities to meet great authors and thinkers and spark thoughtful dialogue for years to come. In becoming an Underwriter, you are entitled to the following benefits:
- Automatic registration for all Open Book / Open Mind events for the year
- Reserved seating at each event
- A copy of each book in the series
- Invitation to occasional Meet-the-Author events and receptions
In addition to these tangibles, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your commitment is providing vital funding to a unique and beloved program. With your gift of $1,000* a year – payable all at once or in monthly installments – you become a sustaining supporter and Underwriter of Open Book / Open Mind.

About Open Book / Open Mind
Montclair Public Library’s flagship series of literary events began in 2015, when series co-founders and Library Foundation Board members David Jones and Jennifer Dorr Moon organized the first of these “must watch” author conversations. Their goals were to rally support for the Library, highlight top authors from Montclair and beyond, and spark public discussion of important ideas across our highly diverse community.
